Matt has advised businesses on insurance and risk management since beginning his career in 2014. He works primarily with clients in the real estate, manufacturing and hospitality sectors, helping them understand their exposures and develop insurance programs that protect their operations, safeguard their investments and support their long-term goals.
Taking a practical and consultative approach, Matt reviews coverage and policy wordings to identify potential gaps, strengthen risk management strategies and ensure each client’s insurance program continues to meet the needs of a changing and growing business. He takes the time to understand how his clients operate and provides clear, tailored advice that helps business owners make informed decisions. His goal is to build lasting relationships and deliver long-term value—not simply place an insurance policy.
Matt began his insurance career in personal lines, where he developed a strong foundation in client service. Prior to joining APEX, he was a Client Executive at a global insurance brokerage. He brings broad industry experience, strong insurer relationships and extensive market access to every client relationship. Matt earned his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2020 and his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation in 2025.
Passionate about supporting Manitoba businesses, Matt helps his clients protect what they have built, manage risk proactively and plan for the future with confidence.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing slo-pitch, walking his dogs around Winnipeg, attending live music shows and spending time with his daughter—whether they are exploring new adventures together or he is cheering her on at cheer competitions.
